Shaolin Zhongwu Performs at International Tournament Opening Ceremony
In early May 2026, at the invitation of the culture and tourism authorities of Yongjia County, a student delegation from Shaolin Zhongwu Research and Learning Base traveled to Yongjia, Wenzhou, and presented a Shaolin Kung Fu performance at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Zhejiang Beautiful Countryside Martial Arts Open and the 1st Wuyun Nanxi International Martial Arts Tournament.
On the opening stage, Shaolin Zhongwu students, dressed in matching training uniforms, delivered a dynamic Shaolin Kung Fu showcase: from fundamental skills and fist forms to traditional weapons and group sparring drills. Every movement was sharp, powerful and precise, drawing rounds of applause from the audience and setting an energetic tone for the three-day tournament.
The tournament brought together martial arts enthusiasts and outstanding teams from home and abroad. Between performances, the students watched and exchanged with fellow practitioners, presenting the orthodox Shaolin lineage while broadening their own horizons. During the trip, the delegation also visited a traditional hall and the scenic Nanxi River area, capturing memorable kung fu moments by the waterfalls and on the ancient weir stones.
Over the three-day event, the delegation completed its opening ceremony performance mission with flying colors. Their stage presence won unanimous praise from the organizers and the live audience, reflecting the spirit and discipline that Shaolin Zhongwu students carry from daily training.
