In September 2026, a group of young students from Shaolin Zhongwu Research and Learning Base, led by their masters, was invited to Shanghai to stage a Shaolin Kung Fu performance. From the foot of Mount Songshan to the banks of the Huangpu River, the children stepped onto a far bigger stage with a set of Shaolin fist forms — a showcase of their daily training, and a rare journey of growth.
On Stage: Young Shaolin Kids in the Spotlight
On the day of the show, the students took the stage in neat training uniforms. Fist-and-palm salute, punches, kicks and routine demonstrations — every movement was clean and crisp, reflecting the spirit of Shaolin Kung Fu and the solid foundations built through daily practice. For these children, simply standing on a Shanghai stage was itself a form of recognition, and their masters watched proudly from the wings as the kids grew under the spotlight.
After the Show: Seeing the Big City
When the performance ended, the masters took the children to the Bund. Along the Huangpu River the lights glittered, and the Oriental Pearl Tower glowed against the night sky. For many of the students it was a first close look at the buzz of a great city — river breeze on their faces, and scenery they had only seen in textbooks before.
This trip was more than a performance — it was a journey that widened their horizons. Beyond the training hall, the world is vast and worth seeing; and kung fu is the very road that can carry them further.
At Shaolin Zhongwu, every child gets the chance to step into the spotlight — and the same stage door is open to students from around the world. Train well, and the world becomes your stage. Start your application today.
